Muse '05 Art Auction
Information for Artists
The New Leaders of Sunnybrook and Women's Foundation is pleased to present Muse '05, our 6th annual art auction, which raises money and awareness for Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre. The event will take place at the "New Devil's Martini" Club on March 31, 2005. Muse '05 will vibrantly showcase up-and-coming and professional Canadian Artists while raising money for innovations for the Hospital's Trauma program, which provides emergency care for people with critical injuries from across the province. As the New Leaders are a group of volunteers, all funds raised will be donated to the cause.
This year we will be accepting art from 8 different categories: Painting, Photography, Sketching, Printmaking, Sculpture, Jewelry, Glass, and Ceramics.
Muse '05 provides an excellent opportunity to increase your profile and meet our 1000+ patrons: young, energetic, urban professionals in the 25 - 45 age range, who work in a variety of sectors, including financial services, marketing, medicine, entrepreneurial ventures and the arts, and consider themselves young art collectors. Last year's event raised over ,000 for Sunnybrook and Women's Department of Anesthesia's Canadian Simulation Centre. This year's event forecasts to raise over 50,000 dollars.
In return for your generosity, your piece will be featured on our on-line gallery. To look at last year's online gallery, click here. Your bio will also be included in the printed catalogue/program to be handed out to every patron, and you will receive a complimentary ticket to Muse '05. We also have some terrific prizes for those pieces that garner the highest bids.
The deadline for submissions is Monday, January 31, 2005. Please follow the process below to participate in this year's art auction:
1. Fill out the attached submission form with your particulars and information on your proposed submission. The completed from should be saved in word format and fowarded to the New Leaders as an attachment with the other supporting documentation as outlined below.
2. Take a jpeg of the piece you would like to donate.
3. Send both the jpeg file and the submission form to Muse05art@yahoo.ca
4. We will confirm your participation in Muse '05 by February 11, 2005.
5. Upon confirmation, follow instructions to make arrangements for drop-off/pick-up of your donated piece.
If you are donating a painting, photograph or a piece otherwise meant to be hung on a wall, it must be in ready-to-display format.
